Advantages of Using Free Internet Dating Sites

Before you even consider shelling out your hard earned money on a dating site subscription, you should check out the free options available on the web. The old saying, “you get what you pay for” may sometimes ring true. But, in the case of online dating sites, I’ve found this to be the exact opposite. The free sites seem to offer higher quality members, and have allowed me some of the best relationships of my life.

Probably the most obvious benefit of a free dating sites UK is that you have nothing to lose. If you decide that you don’t like that website for any particular reason, you can simply disconnect and lose nothing. In contrast, the pay sites are usually subscription based, and lock you in for several months. Worse yet, many of these services will continue to bill you automatically after you cancel. As convoluted as it may seem, this practice is common when using the well known paid sites. Anytime that you can avoid putting your credit card or billing information at risk over the internet is a good thing.

One thing to keep in mind when considering Free Vs. Paid Dating is that the majority of users on the paid sites also make use of the free sites. A common complaint amongst paid dating site users is that they tend to see the same faces on various free services. As someone who has used both free and paid, I can honestly tell you that it’s quite disheartening to be ignored by someone on a paid site, and have a connection with the same person via a free site. Why would you pay when you could meet the same person on another site for free?

A common misconception is that the free sites are filled with random daters who aren’t serious enough to spend money on their hunt for love. In my experience, nothing could be farther from the truth! Free sites give you access to a wider audience who aren’t “serial daters” as you’ll find on paid dating sites. I’ve noticed that the free dating sites are composed of more average people that you would meet in your community. In contrast, I’ve come across more desperate and eccentric users on paid sites. While there are many perfectly normal people on paid sites, you do run a greater risk of getting involved with a few loons.

Another problem with paid dating sites is the risk of wasted time. Unfortunately, most of the Paid Dating Sites are notorious for showing profiles of users that signed up for a short term or a free trial and discontinued their subscription. If you try to contact these individuals, you will usually not receive a response. This is because the paid services require them to pay first. The problem is that there is usually no way of knowing who is really an active user. The free sites don’t have these types of barriers.

With all of the benefits that Free Online Dating sites have to offer, it’s not surprising that they’ve been replacing the paid sites over the last few years. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. I suggest saving your money on the service, and spend a little extra on a new outfit for your first date.
